A Fellowship for Mature Christian Believers
Elders & Senior Citizens at the Gate is a Christian fellowship for mature believers aged 50 and above.
Members meet regularly for prayer, the study of God’s Word, fellowship, encouragement, and mutual support.
The fellowship also provides opportunities for members to learn, share their experiences, and continue developing spiritually, mentally, socially, and practically during their senior years.
How the Fellowship Began
The background and establishment of Elders & Senior Citizens at the Gate:
Relocation to the United States
Rev. Dr. MO Ogbah and his wife relocated to the United States in 2012 following their pastoral ministry under Assemblies of God Nigeria. He envisioned a regular fellowship where elderly Christian believers could regularly come together for fellowship, prayer, mutual encouragement, support, and spiritual activities.
Inaugural Meeting as Elders at the Gate
The inaugural fellowship meeting was held in May 2021 in the United States under the initial name Elders at the Gate, establishing regular online fellowship meetings conducted using Zoom.
Elders & Senior Citizens at the Gate
The fellowship was subsequently renamed Elders & Senior Citizens at the Gate, welcoming mature Christian believers aged 50 and above to online fellowship meetings every Tuesday and Thursday.
